Surveillance pictures of three heartless thugs wanted for robbing a blind senior in Kitchener were released by Waterloo police Monday.
Police said the 87-year-old Kitchener woman’s attention was diverted by a man who asked her if she could help him read the label of a product.
The victim was pushing a shopping cart with her white cane clearly visible during the July 13 robbery inside a Fairway Rd. S. pharmacy, police said.
She told the suspect she was legally blind and couldn’t help him. Police said while her attention was focused on the man, a young woman rifled through her purse.
The female then took the victim’s wallet. Police said the victim didn’t realize she was robbed until much later and by then, the suspects used one of her credit cards at a nearby electronics store.
Police said the men are white and in their 20s while the female is believed to be in her late teens.
Anyone who can identify the suspects is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
