Trying new therapists
My wife and I discovered the pleasures of massge therapy early this year. We have been to one spa three times and each time I have had the same therapist. I thoroughly enjoy the massage I get from her, but I would also like to try other therapists at this spa. I feel like I would be hurting her feelings by asking for someone else.
We have been to two other spas and neither of them compared to what I get here, so on one hand I feel like I am getting the best there is and I shouldn't change.
Thanks for any advise you have.
Jim
I don't think that your therapist would have his/her feelings hurt, if you are interested in trying other people. I guess some might, but I think the majority of us want to see that the client is just happy in their experience.
If you are concerned about the current therapists feelings however, you could take a small note with you, and in it express that you have been impressed with his/her services, that you never realized the benefits of massage, and, are going to be trying out others at the spa.
Or, you could just tell the therapist in person, if the spa is not too busy.
I have worked in a very large spa, a very small spa, and private practice.
I found that regularily, the front desk staff at the large spa I was at, had high turnover and rarely made sure the staff recieved their letters, tips or other items that may have been left for them.
Because of this, if you decide on a note because you can't speak to him/her in person, then specifically give it to the therapist, slide it under their door, or give it to another person who actually works at the spa and NOT the front desk. Especially if it is a large, fancy and high volume one.
But, as I said, we like for our clients to be happy, and if expirimenting is what makes you happy, there should be no hard feelings with that.... made known or not!
Update:
I must have been typing while Intuitouch was, and I have to say... wonderful suggestion!!
