I decided to stay at the Best Value Inn in San Ysidro (http://www.orbitz.com/App/ViewSpecificHotelLP?masterId=57572&gcid=C11287x047-hotprop2>kw=hotel+dcl) and didn't regret it. I took a cab from the San Diego airport, which will cost $45-50, including tip. I chose that hotel because there is free high speed internet access in your room if you have a wireless card, as long as you request a room that is close enough to the lobby. They might be able to accomodate your request. Even if you don't get a room close enough however, there is internet access in the lobby.
To get to the border from the hotel you can take the city bus, which you can catch right outside the entrance to the hotel that is near the Burger King. The bus on the side of the street that is nearest to the hotel is the one that is going to the border (route 905). It will bring you back to the other side of the street, but it stops running early in the evening, I think before 7 pm. The San Diego trolley runs more frequently, runs later in the evening, and costs just a few dollars. It is about 10-15 minutes walking from the hotel. Just walk out of the entrance to the hotel that is across the street from the Burger King. You will take a left on San Ysidro Blvd. Take a right on Howard. The Iris Station is about 10 minutes away. Don't worry, you'll get there. A cab ride to the border from the hotel costs around $7, but like I said, the bus works fine.

The SG (street girls) range in price but typically charge $20 for a quickie, and I mean quickie, plus another $5 for 15 min. in the hotel. Do I need to exchange dollars into dinero before I go to Tijuana?
1. Beverly Hills Club is a fairly short walk from Adelitas, but only walk in the daytime. At night, there is a great risk of bandititos and crime. BTW, I was in Beverly Hills last week and the talent was pretty mixed. One or two nice (7-8) ladies but a few skanks as well.

The Travelodge doesn't have high-speed internet service. I called and asked. It looks like the Best Value Inn is my best option, but I'm just trying to make sure there isn't a better option that's within walking distance from the border. Anyone know of one?

I've stayed there a couple of times on TJ "recreation" trips. Can't remember that they have HS internet (or not), but I BELIEVE so. I'd have called it less than 1/2. It's a very easy walk and is on the side (E/W) I like to be on, so that, upon returning, I have a shorter walk.

1. I agree with swamp. A cab from the airport to San Ysidro will cost about $40 at least so the trolley will be cheaper. The only issue with the trolley is that it does not stop right at the airport (another great example of our moronic city planners at work). The closest stop, while not too far, really is not walking distance so you'll probably have to cab it to a trolley stop at least. You also could consider a rental car, which would give you mobility to explore San Diego as well.
2. Swamp is right on again about the TS situation. I remember a few years back I used to go to a place called the San Souci to "visit" this beautiful mulatto girl. I don't know of any greater value (what you get for what you pay) in North America than Adelitas.
4. Don't have first hand (so to speak!) experience w/ Thai parlors. My GUESS would be: more expensive for a smaller menu of services. Having said that, there are many who swear by the TJ parlors. Personally, I enjoy the "shopping" aspect of the Zona Norte too much to use the parlors.
5. Don't know Eden; but I doubt it. Virtually any service is probably available for the right price; but it would VASTLY help to be fluent in Spanish to locate and negotiate anything too exotic.
