Two questions --

Does anyone here have a strictly chair massage business???Would you have any hesitation in renting space that's upstairs???

    I dont have strictly chair massage, I offer it as well as regular massage. I would get SO bored just doing that all the time!     As for upstairs space, my shop is upstairs. I rent 2 very large rooms, adjoining, with a restroom down the hall. A chiro has the other 4 rooms up there with me. Works out well, although some clients cannot come up stairs for one reaon or another, so I do offer home visits to them at no extra charge (I usually charge anywhere from 10-15 trip fee, depending on how far away they are) they like the lil extra :}

I rent an upstairs office in a building with an elevator, so it's no problem.  Check the laws where you live; here, it is a requirement to have an elevator if the office is upstairs.

Two questions --

the building i rent out of is very old (remodeled, but very old) and somehow got "grandfathered" out of the elavator thing. i wish we did have one, would save me lugging my table around! :}

I had an upstairs office for years and it didn't seem to deter business.  However when I moved to a first floor location with a much better parking situation, I heard from my clients how inconvenient the other place was.
