Well it was an unusual night, went to two spas in succession.
First was Holistic Spa at 2750 14th.
Nice spa, well decorated Asian style spa. Young Asian fellow greeted me at the door, and showed me to a nice size room with a shower. And told me Ruby would be in in five.
Had a shower, nice and clean, good towel.
In comes Ruby, Hong Kong Chinese probably early twenties. Asked how I wanted the massage and I opted for hard.
Gotta tell you, it was one of the best massages I have ever had. She really knew how to work the muscles with her elbows and forearms. Haven't been to the well reviewed Changs on Lawrence yet, but I would bet Ruby can give as good a massage.
Her English was limited so there wasn't alot of conversation, just wonderful massage.
With a towel strategically placed over my backside.
This should have been my first clue.
The massage went on forever. She had a beautiful rythm working the muscles up and down my back, special repeat attention to the shoulders.
The massage just kept going, it was bloody marvellous.
This should have been my second clue.
No turn over no classic spa finish. Just a hope that feels good.
It was 40 well spent.
She told me she was trained as a herbalist and massage therapist in Hong Kong...
So if you want a straight massage that is well done Ruby is the one.
I am curious though, someone suggested that this place was a regular haunt with good mileage...did I luck out and get the pro masseuse with no mileage and miss other opportunities there?
If any one has had other experiences let me know.
Second session, Maggie at Toh Far. Have reviewed Maggie before, she is wonderful. Also gives a good massage and a stupendous finish!
105 for Maggie, 40 for Ruby. Two great massages and one great finish...
Feeling no pain tonight!
