hi angeleyes,
one of my clients has this and i started off with gentle treatments, not really concentrating on any where. we also went very carefully over the healing crisis and the fact that the treatment might make things appear worse.
my client takes codeine to counter bad times and she was prepared to resist taking it in view of the treatment.
we also talked alot about lifestyle and stuff that is happening/ has happened. with this client, i am of the belief her condition is very stress related. however, there may be a herediatary factor. her father had it and when he died 7 years ago, she suddenly got it. coincidence? hmmm it was a traumatic time. she also has a very dependant mother, more stress?
so, she has changed a few things that she used to do, her stress seems to have lessened and so have her bad bouts. she is quite sure the treatments have helped. and i think thats also key.
we started with one a week for 6 weeks, gradually increasing the pressure. she now comes once a month. i cant find it now, but there was a web article with a case study by ann gillanders... interestingly, the chap who had the UC had other health problems within L zone 5... descending colon!
