Does anyone know a therapist/clinic that offers Universal Contour Wraps in Northampton area please?

I have now found a clinic in Northampton that offers Universal Contour Wrap.

May I ask whether any members have received a treatment (or a course of three, which I was thinking of having) and were they happy with the results.

I had a course of 3 a couple of years ago to fit into a little black dress that was just a teeny bit tight! The company claim that you lose 6 inches from your body [I think they said 6 ins]. And its true, I did. However before you get it done, you get measured in about a hundred places [ok I exaggerate] but a lot of measuring. After the wrap when you get measured again you have lost inches but its often half or quarter of an inch in most places and it just adds up to a lot of inches!

Having said that my little black dress did fit me, although in all honesty I probably wouldnt have it done again!! Its not the most pleasant treatment I've ever had!

But don't let me put you off - go for it and hope you get good results.

I have seen on Ebay that you can buy home treatments and have thought that maybe I would try one to see the effect before shelling out £55 on a session. It just that although I am exercising, 4 -6 miles walking per day and reasonably healthy diet I feel that I need something extra. I think the most effective treatment for me would be lymphatic drainage massage but I don't know of any therapist locally that specialise in this.

Years ago I went on the course to learn Universal Contour Wraps but after a few clients had it, I gave up with it. I didn't find it really made any difference and I couldn't convince the clients they were shedding much weight when I couldn't convince myself. It is a messy treatment, with having to put black markers on the part of the body that were to be treated and then after the cling film had been removed, putting new markers to see if there was any difference. 9 times out of 10, there was no difference at all and I felt clients were wasting their money. Interestingly enough, I didn't see them at the Beauty Fair this year and in the past they have always had a very big stand there. I can't give the name of the company here on HP.

Thanks for that Sue. I have been reading a few reviews on the internet and there are mixed reports. Money would probably be better spent on different treatment. I'm not looking for miracle results just a boost, maybe I need to pursue the Lymphatic Drainage Massage. There must be at least one therapist in Northampton area who does this treatment so any recommendations would be appreciated.
