My cat Snooker who I've had for 4 years has never been a fighter.
He lounges in the sun with the other cats in the neighbourhood and is a pretty laid back guy.
Today I got a new 8 week old kitten, he is not shy at all and Snooker was crying outside the door so I decided to introduce them early and see how it went.
Snooker was fine! He chirped at the kitten and watched him play then approached the kitten for a sniff which was fine until kitten (who is a male) noticed and hissed at him! Snooker backed off and sat at a distance.
Snooker has been fine, eating his food as normal nad just being himself. He just appears to want to make friends with the kitten who unfortunately is having none of it.
Is it not usually the opposite problem people have?
How can I get the kitten (who is really friendly and playful with me) to quit being mad at Snooker?
My older cat isn't the problem, it's the kitten who is all hissy and growly!
