Unusual reactions during reflexology treatments

I'm currently engaged in carrying out my reflexology case studies and I have experienced something that I can't find any mention of in the terxtbooks!

One of my case studies gets a feeling of warmth in the corresponding hand reflex whilst I am working on her feet. It doesn't hurt but she feels a glow or burning in the area in which I am working.

Another of them feels a sensation in the physical part of their body that corresponds with the area in which I am working.

Neither of these people have had reflexology before or studied it.

Can anyone offer an explanation as to what/why this is happening please?

Could be that she is experiencing a sudden flow of energy in the corresponding reflex points to that which you're working on in the foot? May be that her energy flow was quite stangnant in the area she feels the warmth and it's the circulation improving which is causing the warmth?

I had a couple of clients that experienced a reaction in the corresponding body part. I just took it as additional confirmation.

Don't worry about why, just accept. I think it's wonderful!
