I have had some great advice from another of my posts about use of pre blended oils, and how these should be avoided on pregnant clients, with the recommendation being to use a plain base oil, so I could use sweet almond oil, and also have grapeseed oil handy in case of nut allergy.
At college, we applied preblended oils from the bottle, just warming in the palm of our hands before applying to the upper body. When we used the plain oils, this tended to be for hair condition, and we would warm the right amount of oil by placing a beaker of oil in a lrger bowl of hot water, then applied to scalp with cotton wool.
My question is, if I am simply using a plain oil, not for hair condition, but to massage on the upper body, arms, etc., is it best to warm in a bowl of hot water, or does it work well applied straight from the bottle? (I'm imagining the fussing around in a clients home with bowls, kettles, etc.............)
Many thanks!
