Just a question..... are there any mps that provide the services that we know and love but could be written off/covered by benefit packages? I think it would be great if such a place existed.

Canada Customs and Revenue agency guidelines on entertainment expenses specifically don't allow "escort" expenses. I have always assumed that massage costs fell into the same category.

Maybe after these activities are legalized?

Why are we talking about writing them off as entertainment expenses, when the original poster was asking about getting reimbursed through an extended health plan?

If ya can't write it off as a business expense yourself even in a category like entertainment, then what benefits provider would be able to justify it as health care, if they were to reimburse you for it??

There are some places that can be legitamized for health plans - I had a couple of buddies at Coke that used to do that, but you're probably just talking the $40 - $60 room fee. If its a "licensed spa" then you might have a chance. Some places like TLC offer a RMT - those places might work.

I actually got a massage once and I got reiumbursed for it without a hasstle.
The parlor gave me a receipt and I submitted the receipt.

I get a sum for Therapy Massage per year as part of my work benefits as well as other things.


I wouldn't do it again, but it worked that one time. Maybe the person at my benefit branch didn't drink their coffee that day. lol.
