JACKSON, Mich. (WILX) - “My first client of the day, I was waiting for him and he drove through the wall”, said Cloud 9 Therapeutic Massage owner Annette Bennett.
Walk-ins are welcomed but drive-thrus, not so much.
That's exactly what happened Friday morning when a van crashed through a Jackson massage clinic, leaving the owner feeling a little stressed.
Bennett says she was startled by her client's grand entrance after the brakes on his van gave out.
“When I hit the brake it went all the way to the floor and so I was really jamming on it but I also caught the accelerator at the same time”, said Jack Choate.
The force knocked out a window and a wall, but no one was injured.
The driver got out his van, cleaned up the mess and called a construction crew to board up the damages.
“That's why I pay for my insurance. I just would prefer that this kind of stuff wouldn't happen but it does”, Choate explained.
The business will remain open through construction which is expected to be done in two weeks.
