Velcro Side Extensions

My table doesn't have holes drilled into the sides (it's an Oakworks table) but I am wanting some more width. Has anyone used the strap-on velcro extenders, if so, comments/opinions? Thanks!!!

hey sarah, i've got them on my table. i love that it gives an extra 6 inches or so width to my table. i don't actually use the velcro though. i tried it at first but the sticky of the velcro kept coming off of the table etc. so they lay across the table and then there is a strap that connects under the table too. again, i like it. i have about 4 or 5 layers of stuff on top so you can't feel the straps at all.

keep in mind that the arms are not incredibly sturdy on the table, their there more for extra space for the arms. the do move just a bit if you put too much weight on them. meaning, if you push down really hard on just the arm part, it will shift down a bit. i've never had a problem with them. i really love having them on my table.

i second that..

i would MUCH RATHER have the stationary arm rests, but the current table i have doesn't have the holes and i'm not handy - at all. so i bought the velcro ones too.

i don't use the velcro, just the straps. i have them on over a fitted sheet to reduce movement as much as possible, then have them covered with my eggcrate/warmer/sheepskin, etc. they add quite a bit of room and everyone feels more comfortable with them.

Thank you for your helpful replies. I was worried about the stability factor but it sounds like that isn't too much of a problem. I don't have layers on my table but it sounds like maybe I need to put some more "stuff" on there to hide the straps? I'm sure I should anyway, the eggcrate, etc, sounds very comfy! Thanks again
