(CNN/Meredith) – Police are searching for a client of a Santa Ana, California massage parlor, who robbed the owner Monday night. Surveillance video caught the violent attack.
Police said the suspect walked into 37-year-old Yuneng Wong's massage therapy business in Santa Ana just after 9 p.m. local time. He paid for two massages that evening according to Wong, who then said raised suspicion when we walked into the salon again.
"I was here. He stand [sic] here and say...I’m gonna rob you," Wong said.
Security tape showed Wong trying to close the door. But the armed suspect pushed it open and beat her repeatedly on her head with his gun.
Wong made a run for the back door. But he grabbed her, shoved her against the refrigerator and began choking her.
He threw her to the ground and continued choking her. Without anyone to hear her screams, she began to pray.
"I was so scared, but suddenly God hear my voice and he loose [sic] his hand," Wong said.
Wong added after nearly losing consciousness, he stopped and took the money.
With a black eye, cuts, bruises, and welts on her head, Wong said she is grateful she survived,
“He let me go. The next victim I’m not so sure," Wong added.
Police told KCAL-TV that investigators are convinced this is not this suspect’s first attack.
