Hi everyone. . .

Im doing my indian head massage diploma VTCT in college, were doing our case studies at moment, and about to have clients in, thing being im great doing the routine with the book beside me so i can glance at it, but having trouble remembering the routine! Any suggestions? As this is my only downfall!

Hello there, I finished this course on the 17th April and thoroughly enjoyed it. The only way I can remember things is to keep writing them down, and was constantly practising on my daughter

Hi there

I am doing my case studies now and have been using any willing volunteer (guinea pig!!!) that will agree to have it done. I find that if I haven't done one for a couple of days I tend to forget things and need to look at my notes. I now do my daughters every evening so that I do at least one every day and this has helped a lot.

Try to relax and let the movements flow, the more you do it the more it will come easier to you. This has also helped me, I hope this helps you

We were advised to write the movements down on postcards that we could refer to if we needed to. The more you do the massage the easier it will be to remember it.

Hi there

I've been having the same problem! I think it's just a case of practice, practice, practice! I have been practicing on family and friends and with my notes to hand I kind of just tried it on my own and just snuck a peak when I got really stuck. However, in college the other evening and afterwards when practicing at home, it seemed to just come to me!

I have noticed that if I practice everyday or almost everyday it's so much easier the next time I come to it. If I go too long with out practicing them I'm stumped!

I think Sugray is right - try and relax as much as possible and you'll be fine I'm sure.

Thanks for the help with that, i shall try n do the postcard notes, also i really need to get my head down n practice everynight, as you said i easily forget it if i havent done any treatments in a few days! Wish me luck lol.

My tip is break it down learn first 5 moves then add them to the next 5 moves get them embedded in the brain, and add the next 5 and so on ...... building them up in blocks as well as writting them down.

or if your memory is better than mine..... go for all body.... then all head... then all face..

I was taught if you forget the next movethink of where your hands are on the last move as the next move follows on from that area. As a continualflowing movement.
