They lure you with the cheap beer offers, good to take advaneforum.xxxe of it, but its what happens in the bar and how you manage it thats the key, most of the waiters are out to make a fast buck, some of them are worse than the others. Of course there is some good guy here and there but far in between

Once that fat piece of sh*t deported chollo waiter in that one alley bar with the cowboy hat on the sign (forget the name, opposite side of the street than HK but more down to the left) pulled that $20 --> $1 bullshit on me.

Funny thing was that I had just finished with an Alley girl who turned out to be a real bitch. She pulled the "no mas" crap and got up to get dressed (I paid in advance ). While I was finishing myself off, I noticed she had dropped the 20 I had paid her with on the floor, so I stepped on it, hiding it with my foot, and was able to cum like a fountain realizing I had just banged that stupid whore for free. It was that same 20 that the fatass stole from me five minutes later. Easy come easy go.

Seems every time I go in that bar I see shady shit going down. I vowed after that I wouldn't ever go in there again, but I still do after we get the street guys to offer us 10 beers for $11-12; I'm just extra careful in there now.

I can appreciate that this is true for some guys. I think I am more the independent type- I don't need someone to hold my hand in a bar. If you are a regular and plan to have the benefits of being a fixture in the place, then being friends with the waiters is probably the way to go. If you visit less than twice a week- it is not going to help one bit.

I do not trust anyone who has his hand in my pocket (by which I mean his only goal is to part me from my dollars). In my very humble opinion in the US being pals with the bartender or doorman gets you perks in a bar like free drinks and generally a friendly relationship (a pal to chat with and so on)- in TJ it just gives you headaches (the guy will just be squeezing every last dollar out of you and trying to hustle you one way or another). Been there, done that. To each his own.

Again I'm just talking about some of the advaneforum.xxxes of knowing Mexican waiters in bars as I don't personally try to steal other guys bargirls while they are sitting with them, but I have done it, and the last time I did it, I did it all by myself, giving the chicas eyes, and whispering to her that I wanted her. She soon dumped the local dude and came over to be with me.

I don't like to start bar fights either, but the last time I grabbed some dude he was grabbing and practically taking off the top of my newbie friends chica he was fond of and taking over his chair. I told him a few times nicely that she was with my friend, but he didn't listen, until I grabbed him by his shirt collar, and told him firmly and push him off the bar stool! And it's nice to know if a bar fight is started your waiter will help break it up, and throw the other guy out. And the beauty of the Mexican justice system is on the way to an overnight trip to jail can usually be avoided by a quick detour to the ATM machine first.

Kittyhawk while you might find no use for waiters, other guys do, especially the ones with the so-called puta girlfrinds, and no other girl will do. The waiters can help establish the 'LOVE BOND' and help free up the girl when she is with other guys.

My favorite is the I give them a twenty, they return 5 minutes later caliming that I gave them a one, not only faiing to return with my change, but trying to get me to pay more. It's funny how letting them know that, I'm not drunk, and insisting that Igave them a twenty always results in them caving in and giving me my fucking change. It's a hell of a way to start a trusting relationship.

Now I cary my own supply of small change before crossing the border to avoid such umplesantries.

Fireballs - I'd highly recommend not grabbing anyone by the throat in TJ, even if they steal your rented seat of chica. Spending time in a Mexican jail is the last thing you want to do no matter how hard ass you might be.

You expressed very well here ! I think you have some valid points, I did not mean to dismiss the waiters utility in general, though I agree with some of Kittfreaks points too.
Yes waiters do bring some personal advaneforum.xxxes as you listed, but they are few and far in between.
I had this waiter in Miami do the same trick of getting my favorite girl when she was with another customer, perhaps by whispering some sweet nothings in her hear Yes the girls will go the famous El Banyo and reappear after some time at my table.
And of course he will find you the table and guard the table, but then have to give him some constant tips too. For some of us it might be worth it

True, a good waiter can occasionally come in handy. But, those are rare occasions. I've never had someone "steal" my seat because when I get up I am leaving the seat (guy rule- noone owns a seat at a bar unless he is there way too much...clue you are there too much is if the chicas yell "Norm" when you walk in).

I do not poach chicas from other dudes, that is a flagrant "party foul" and could create bad blood- even if the waiter helped you do it. And I do not own any of these girls- I just rent them for a little while. If I go the the restroom and she decides to party with another guy- I find another girl. No big deal.

So, IMHO I still see no practical use for making friends with a TJ waiter- especially considering that they are very annoying and just want my money. Of course, in the US I tend to be on good terms with my bartenders- but that is based on actual friendship- conversations and such, not some bullshit hustle.

Well I generally agree with some posters here that being friends with waiters really isn't a requirement and you might be better off without having a friendly waiter at your side ready to help some young chica separate you from your money by 'ficha fucking you. Let me just take a moment to say what some of the advaneforum.xxxes personal waiters bring. For example I have three waiters I use
exclusively at Hong Kong, one of them is a pain in the ASS, and gets mad if I ever use the other two.

They can always find me a nice seat when the bar is busy. I trust them to break a $100 bill and bring me my change. The pain in the ass waiter will take 5 to 10 minutes walking with me giving me the run down on each chica club history, and most of the time tell me the truth if she really is new to the business, yeah I caugh him lying a couple of times, they are new to HK, but not the business. If I bring a non Spanish speaking friend, the waiter will show my friend all the chicas that also speak English, which is always a plus.

I don't have to do my own fighting. A few times I went to the bathroom, only to return and find some ASSHOLE siting in my chair, or my friends chair, GROPING my chica or my friends chica that we already paid for her drinks. Now sometimes I'll politely tell the asshole he is in my chair, and the chica is with me, and if it's one of those small Asian dudes that refuses to leave; I might even grap him by Throat and tell him to get the fuck out, but if it's a big guy, I'll just tell my waiter , and he'll do all the dirty work for me.

The waiter is also helpful if you like a chica and she is sitting with someone else, he'll sometimes walk over to her and whisper something in her ear, and a few minutes later she downs her drink, dumps the guy, and then goes to the bathroom, only to return about 5 minutes later sitting by your side. Now that wouldn't have been possible if I didn't know my waiter well, usually the waiters will just tell you the girl is busy now with another customers. [ it doesn't always work, especially if the chica likes the guy she is sitting with, or rather the money he has to spend]

Mr Kittyfreak, I think you have an excellent point there. There is more trouble in being friends with the waiter. I used to do that in Miami, and all of them would flock around, and I would actually miss the good girls, if at all any ! Worse part is they will keep pestering you for tequilas. And giving them a tip brings them back on their f***g round of disapperaring with chicas drink and making you buy more and so they can expect more tips. And what extra do you get in return, perhaps nothing. And even if they give you some inside info, chances are its biased and bs. Next time I must try the "stiff" stuff like you !

Who needs them? I do not need any local guy doing me any favors- just bring me a beer or bottle of water when I ask and otherwise leave me the fuck alone. If they hang around more than I want, I stiff them on the tip- that is like magic to make them disappear.

What exactly are you expecting- to be "friends' with the waiter? That he will do you a favor to hook you up with a girl (like you needed any help at AB/CC). Whatever. A waiter in the Zona is as useless as a wannabe slimeball pimp.

Hello Mr Viking, Sorry to slot you in the Minnesota team, connection is Scandinavian I understand. An ohio man, perhaps a BBB fan (Browns, Bengals or Buckeyes!) this is my own concocted acronym ! Forget about football.
Point to note from your post is about the money changing thing on revolution, could happen in Zona too, but I have not experieenced it, better to be aware anyway.

Bohemian, My user name has nothing to do with football and I live in Ohio, but plan to move back to So Cal when I retire. My user name has something to do with Scandinavia. I use Viking on an other board, but back on subject.

BT is where they tried the chips thing, more than one time. On Revo I have had them try to pull the $20 into $1 quick change when I give them a 20, but bever in ZN.

Thanks for your response. Yes, telling them upfront about your "rules" is a good idea. I have lost my cool while the girl was around and then it becomes an off scene. I also rotate Meseros. I think at AB and CC it is better with the Meseros as they dont nag you with the drinks push. Its worse at Miami and Chavelas because these are more drinks "oriented" bars where the girls push for more drinks and less fucks. Well, I may be wrong, but thats what I noticed.
Ps: If the feared Baltimore Ravens were No 2 in stopping the Run, do you know who was the No 1, it was the Minnesota Vikings !

I always let them know I don't put up with removing any beers before they are empty, I have taken the beers out of thier hand when they pick them up early. I also don't put up with any other crap like bringing bags of chips when not asked for. The way I do that is telling them when they take the bottle early, and not except service from them anymore, just use another mesero. I usually tip $1 when I find a good mesero, in Chavelas #4 is good, but haven't been there in a wile, CC I stick to one of the three ladies that usually sit together along the wall opposite from the long bar when it is not busy, they never pester me and all I have to do is look at one of them and she comes to the table.

Hi Guys
I am opening this most to do a "research" on bar men/waiters of the Zona ! This may not be a popular topic, but I thought it would be of interest to most mongers.
These waiters or meseros can be quite a help or a big nuisance. Of course we all see them hustling for drinks. And especially its a piss of when they keep pestering or slyly pulling of half empty bottle from the chicas to serve more !
Any experience on good and bad guys ?
In Miami there use to be Carlos who use to speak good English.
In HK there is one Manuel who has working English, but can be a nuisance asking for Tequila drinks even before you had your first beer.
Any advise, any suggestions, any names. ?
Lets limit to HK, Miami and Chavelas to start with
