My English teacher assigned a project where we have to write a letter to an author of a book and introduce ourselves. However, we are not allowed to say "Hi, my name is..." because she believes that sounds too immature for high school. We are also not allowed to use "Allow me to introduce myself" because she used that as an example. I am completely at a loss at what to say. I have no idea. If you guys can give me some suggestions that would be greatly appreciated. However, please keep in mind that I am in high school, an english honors class, and this report counts for a test grade, so please do not reply with anything stupid. Thank you.
I have to somehow incorperate my name IN the letter, not at the end when I sign it
Sincerly,
