Wedding Packages?

Does anyone offer these? And how do you go about it?The salon owner where I rent approached me about a wedding party coming in to get manicures, pedicures, and also wanting massages, a couple days before the wedding. 6-7 people- at least, in one day. I told her 60 min. sessions wouldn't be an option for the same day. So I told her 30, or 15 minute sessions, the bride is free. And for 30 min. sessions, I'd probably do 4 in a row, then break for an hour or two, then do the rest.I thought about letting them do 60min sessions if they want, then bringing in another therapist to split them with me- but with my space I don't think it's an option. We couldn't work at the same time.I'd never thought about wedding parties before. What do others do?

 I've done a couple wedding parties, they went pretty well. it all depends on what youre capable of as far as how many massages you can confortably do back to back. I'm good with 6-1 hour ones, I can do 7, but Im pretty useless by that time. You just have to know your limits so you dont cause yourself to burn out. the 30 minute massages are a good idea, are they getting other services the same day, too? (like nails, hair, etc) I would make sure they didnt schedule anyone else for you that day  :}

You will probably find they don't all want massages, even if who ever is organising it says they do.  Particularly if they are having mani/pedi's too, scheduling could become and issue with wet nails - regardless of what rapid dry method is being used, nails aren't dry enough to start wrestling with zips and buttons straight after they have their nails done.I wouldn't even give them the option of 15 minutes - what's the point? They're going to take 10 minutes getting undressed and dressed again, virtually 30 minutes once you change linen and you're getting paid for 15 - the problem with saying 15 minutes is they expect 15 minutes of massage time. 30 minute sessions they seem to be ok with 25min massage. Why is the bride free? Usually the bride is not charged because her friends pay for her, not becuase you give her a free service. Is the salon owner doing her nails for free?Are they all arriving together and just hanging around all day, or 1st one is coming in at 9, second one at 10 etc? If they are hanging around all day, just make them your cleints for the day.  How many massages do you usually do per day? If they are arriving for individual appointments, you're going to encounter the wet nail issue unless they have the massage first.

HI!  I actually offer Wedding Packages as part of my Massage Party Package. I state in the brochure that a Massage Party is a great idea for Weddings, Bridal Showers, etc... and that it is used as just part of whatever other entertainment/relaxation THEY already have planned. Its In Home of course, so its convenient for them, and I just show up with my supplies and go with the flow. I give each person (up to whatever # I feel I can handle) about 15 minutes actual masage time with me. I have one person "on deck" so that the wait time for me and them is minimal. I charge $10/person for 15 minutes and I get everyones info for future advertising. I also give the option that the "Hostess" can prepay for her own guests if she desires. And the Hostess and Guests are eligible for free massage minutes if they book a party. It comes to about $40/hr (which is cheap, but its REALLY rural here) and I usually have a ball.  It still is in the tweaking seforum.xxxe but seems good so far.
