Reading this story reminded me when I was saved from drowning years ago from a stranger while swimming. Got a cramp and yelled for help and luckily I was heard.

How about you?. Were you ever a hero or saved by one?.

Yup, now I didn't save their life but I certainly helped until the ambulance arrived (guy got hit by a flying bumper off a car that was hit)........

Walked around on cloud nine for weeks afterwards.......

I grabbed a guy who was about to be hit by a double-decker bus in NYC. Missed by a foot.

I've pulled a drowning kid out of the open water in the Caribbean; she swam out too far.

I administered the Heimlich to a woman who choked on meatball.



But, what means the most to me is being there for the ones I love every day, making them happy and making their lives just a little brighter.

Subdued (okay maybe more than that) 2 idiots who tried to shoot up a bar once.

Luckily for me the one guys gun jammed and no one got hurt or killed.

At the time it was just pure reaction and doing what I was trained too do.

Although later I was thinking how things could have gone worse so I spent 2 hrs the next day going over disarming techniques with an instructor.
