What age should I introduce comic books to a child...?

My 5 year old step brother has shown some intrest in comic books lately and I want to introduce him to them, at what age should he be ready and if the time is right, what books are recommended...
 
wow, i find it very surprising the he enjoys them, very much understand them. you should go ahead and give him some but don't go out buying super advance or violent ones of course.
 
You should decide to make him read at this age. Yes you have a good choice he can read comics at this age. I suggest he should read garfield or peanuts. They are very good choices I started reading them when I was 4 ( I just look at pictures). If your step brother has developed how to read he can read independently. If he hasn't you can read the words to him. If this helped you I will be very happy.

He is ready at any age, as long it is a comic suitable for his age.
When I was five I read a lot of comics with kids going on adventures, that kinda stuff.
You should either see what you read as his age, or take him to a comic bookstore and ask what they would recommend and sell a lot to other kids his age.
