What are your BUSIEST and SLOWEST times of the year?

Just curious what are your busiest and slowest times.

For some reason, October has been consistently slow for me (4th year in a row). I don't get many calls to start with, plus I get a lot of cancellations and reschedules. 4 years ago I had 17 in a row (I was in tears). Even summers are not that slow. I don't know why; my only theory is that a lot of people do their back to scholl shopping 1-2 months before and now they finally received their credit card bills and have no $$$. My Fridays are usually booked solid in advance (5 appointments are normal), this Friday I have 1 regular once a week client. Just to give you an idea.

It usually picks up in mid November and it's crazy thru Xmas, then it slows down a bit and picks up and stays steady until October.

hm, I'd have to say September is my slowest - lots of cancellations, etc. and I figure it's because school has started and people aren't used to their hectic schedules.
But I've noticed as soon as the weather turns cooler, my phone starts ringing off the hook. (so October is usually busy). Maybe people are more aware of their body hurting when it's cold outside? t102
Stays steady till summer, then a slight slow down. hm, Maybe next year I will schedule some time off in September - if you can't beat 'em, join 'em!

I'd have to say that our slowest months are August and September, with maybe the first part of October. At first I thought it was schedules, but then I realized that it had more to do with weather. Out of 3 years in business so far, this's the first time we'd been busy through summer, and it was much cooler (and rainier) than usual for our area. We didn't slow down till the end of July, when it got hot again.

Our busier season usually starts somewhere between mid-Oct and mid-Nov (usually right when the weather turns cooler, like stonegirl figured) and gets really nuts around Christmas and New Year's, like Anastasia said.

Hehe never fear; being busy is probably just around the corner

January and July were slow months early on. Now it seem like there's no flux at all.

October is always slow. mid november it picks up, and keeps up pretty steady until end of summer. January is unusually busy, and not just with GC redemption. Folks are just real stressed out after the holidays I suppose!

july - september, slow as heck. and it was scary slow this year. things are picking up now - we had several new calls and new bookings yesterday - i mean like 5 new people, which for us is A LOT of new callers in one day. hopefully we're on the road to recovery because this summer popped the cushion, so to speak.
