What are your rates?

I hope this is an ok question to ask in this forum. I'm considering a slight increase to my rates (as my costs have gone way up in the past few months), and would really benefit from knowing what others are charging. I can see the spa rates around here (which are definitely higher than mine) but I'm a private practitioner in my own office.

So, I'm curious:

• What do you charge for a 60 minute (incall) massage?
  A 90 minute massage?
  What kind of facility do you work in? (Spa? Office? Out of your home?)
  and
  Where are you?

Here's me:

$75 (It's actually a 75-minute appt with 60 minutes of table time)
$100 ( " 105-minute appt " " 90 minutes ")
Office I share with other practitioners

i charge $65 for a Relaxtation/deep tissue massage
$75 for a full myo therapy, trigger point session.
However, I can be generous to a fault and usually
give a 70 minute massage for $65. But, i just about all
of my clients are repeaters and keep me busy in this weird
economy. I am very thankful!!!

Hi essentialie. If you're trying to determine a fair rate for your area, it would be more helpful to contact local massage therapists, rather than gather nationwide statistics of MassagePlanetL members. You can do an internet search of MT's in your town; most websites will list prices. You can also call private practitioners by phone & ask what their rates are. You don't have to tell them you're an MT; many prospective clients call with that question. Then, you'll have a true understanding of what the price range is for massage in your area. Good luck! I hope your research leads to a positive increase for you.

Just sent for my license since Indiana finally has one. After taking the last year off while my husband was in Iraq, I am 're-opening' my business {had some volunteer work I was doing with military families but no paid work} Here are my new rates

$50/hr within 30 mile radius
$45/hr within 30 mile radius with qualifying discount {military, educators, employed by local employers that let me advertise in their break room}

For charity events, I work for free in exchange for a first tier listing in their advertising for the event and in the thank you materials/brochures for the event.

I was recently approached about doing bridal showers/girls night parties and am thinking about rates. Probably going to discount them to $45 each with a minimum of 3 hours for the booking. Not sure if I should use the discount on this though

outcall: $100/hr with 1.5 hr minimum, no extra for mileage

(I price myself a little high on purpose because I really don't like doing timed full-body massage anymore. Instead, I like to do clinical massage which is based on procedure more than it is time--the time necessary can vary from visit to visit; that's a bit cheaper, as the sessions are a bit shorter, and I like doing that a lot better.)
