One of my tx rooms is white -- boring!  But it's at a PT Clinic, so everything's white!  The other room is a both beige and a eggplant color.  3 walls are beige and the other eggplant -- very pretty -- it's a dayspa atmosphere!  Minty green sounds soothing!

What color is your treatment room?

My new place will have dark taupe walls, off white ceilings and an off white crown molding at the wall/ceiling joints. It looks polished & doesn't make any strong statements. That's what I like about it.My old place had green walls & a faux painted wall with mottled greens & a tobacco-y brown 'aging' (gosh, what is that word??? antiquing glaze, maybe) technique. What color is your treatment room?

My room has a wall sized mural of a tropical beach!($100 at Home Depot + application money - the paper was very thin, so I hired someone when I had another room wallpapered.) The other three walls are painted a light sand color. I get positive comments on it every time. The other office room I work in at the Chiro's office is a medium green color - nothing exiting.

Ohhh, I like these ideas.Right now, my rooms are comfortable, but not too much going on. آ You'd think they are just "girly" by the sound of the color, but, I have a nice pink color on the walls, that looks good in low lighting and is not offensive with full light either. آ I guess there are probably some blue tones in the paint somewhere (which keeps it from looking like a pink polka dot shirt). آ Believe it or not, a lady or a man can work in it and not feel out of place.Accents are maroon/wine or white sheets with a maroon or wine blanket, with lots of wood and bamboo for the cabinets and end tables. آ Some asian influence wall items finish up the accents.Why do I like it... it makes me feel calm. آ I think I recall something about a pink room for drunks to go to in jail, years ago when I was in kindergarten and they took us  to the city jail for a field trip -- if I recall that correctly, then I have to put my two cents in, that it works. آ However, maybe I remember wrong, and then, I'd just have to say, it works for me! آ  ;DLove the thread! PS: آ I have worked in a taupe room before and really enjoyed it. آ Very soothing and the clients just melted into the table.I have also worked in a room that was all tile on the walls. آ It was a vichy shower (I don't think I ever spell that right) before. آ I used those little, plastic round suction hangers, that can suction to a glass window and purchased lots of silk ivy. آ I put a few very thick, small square shaped glass / vase-type bottles with glass beads in them, in two of the corners of the room. آ They were the kind that you can't break brcause they are soooo think (I am sure if you wanted to throw them around a lot then you could break them, but I can't say I have clients like that *yea!*). آ In the vase-type holders, I then put a thick clump of ivy and from the "clump"... I made "runners" all the way up and across the walls. آ This served as my decorations to look at and gave it a nice roman spa type of feel to the room.  I added one of those little roman pillars as my "end table" in the corner for a few candles. آ I have to say, it took a while to figure out what would actually stay on the wall at all, until I came up with the suction cups, and it felt like I was in the funny farm until I got something up. آ At first the boss wasn't happy, but I tell you, I had to do something. آ The bare walls were just too much.Everybody ended up liking the end-result when they came in... the boss never really got on board... but, what can you say? آ Sometimes they never do!

i'm mobile, so i don't have a room  :'( loli think that greens are way overplayed, even though green is my favorite color. i also think that all your linens should complement your room color. it brings the whole look together, although i'm not saying it has to be monochromatic.i would also suggest that you go with satin finish with your latex paint. it has a soft sheen and it cleans easily.good luck with your new space(it is vichy texas  )

I was very excited when I moved into my current space.  It was the first time I had total control over decorating my treatment room.  I wanted something that would be very eye catching yet soft and relaxing.  FWIW, I've had both men and women comment on how wonderful the room looks.I painted the walls and ceiling peacock blue.  I use black and ivory for accent colors: ivory for shelving and clothing hooks, black for the frames or mats of paintings/pictures and the wicker thingamabob that holds my stereo and sheets.  I also wanted eye candy for people in the supine position so I designed a treatment for the ceiling using ivory wedding gown material draped from the corner into the middle of the room through a sconce and back to the next corner.  The corners are tied with peacock blue glass beads and hangs down into the corners.  It really softens the entire room.The room has two flourescent light fixtures in the ceiling which I don't use.  Instead I have two floor lamps that have reostats so I can soften the lighting inside the room.The owner of the gym just got a pic of the room to use in her sales brochures.  I'll see if I can get a copy of it and post it if anyone wants to see it.

What color is your treatment room?

I didn't have any choice over the color of my room, and I'm not a "blue" person, but the owner of the place I rent from painted the entire establishement in varying shades of periwinkle. We get compliments on it all the time. The treatment rooms are a medium-deep periwinkle with white built-in cabinets, and a darker blue carpeting. It's grown on me; and people say it's very soothing with the dim lighting I have. If I had my choice, however, I would have to go with a warm sage green.

What color is your treatment room?

The color of my entire office (treatment rooms & waiting area) is a aqua/turquise blue kind of color.  We used a unique brushing technique so the walls actually look like the reflection of water.  There are darker and lighter areas just like if you were to look down from a boat into the water.  It's real pretty and I really like it.  It's very relaxing and calming.  On the ceiling of my treatment room I draped some lightweight while fabric so it almost looks cloud-like.  Everybody really likes it.

mine is buttercream with sage trim and I tend to go with ivy type plants for a "nature" or "earthy" look. However, I'm currently in the market for another office so I'm not sure I'll get an opportunity to paint whereever I end up. If not, I'll just have to be more creative in my decorum.Be well,Jen

My treatment room is a deep olive green color with large white wood crown molding and baseboards.  The ceiling is painted green also, the same color as the walls.  The carpet is cream plush and my table, shelves and mirror are a dark walnut.  I have a stained glass window over the door (the tilt kind that they put in old victorians) that is an eggplant and pink swirl color.  I use eggplant sheets and light green blankets.I painted my other treatment room a deep copper color with patina green accents.  I'm still deciding if I like that one.  I use the green room regularly.  It has a creek that runs past...I can here the water go by as I work.  Some days I don't want to leave....

My treatment room is cream like off-white with accents of various woods.  The blues, purples and maroons and greens mix well with the accents of ivy vines that grace the wood furnishings that occupy the room as well.  There is a cascading cadet blue swath of material with gold fringe that accents the wall over the wood desk framing the desk.  The whole feel is eclectic (???spell-check???).  Polished stones as well as natural stones, are part of the motif.  There are metal aspects about the room: mostly gold in hue.  Sage leaves in a unique clear bottle sit atop a wooden cabinet with glass doors which house my massage books, my massage tools and my sheets and lotions and oils.  Beach & Palm tree posters adorn the walls.  Sheets are available in white, maroon or cadet blue and look like marble stone print are available.  There are also candles in natural colors(browns, creams, natural greens) that sit arranged about the wooden furniture and glass is also in the motif.  Rejuvenate Mind, Body & Soul is what this room is all about.I like my treatment room because it is very relaxing to me.  All the natural surroundings make for peaceable space within which one can perform and receive massage.  Its what I have for now and am blessed to have it.

What color is your treatment room?

My room is painted blue on three walls.  The back wall is one solid window and has a blinds that go from one side of the wall to the other.  When I moved into the room I made a curtain to cover the blinds, it also keeps some of the light and noise from outside down. It looks really nice and I do get compliments from it.Sometimes I feel like my room is small because I dont' have the storage room I would like (ie prego pillow etc.) and other times it's just perfect. Everything is at arms reach.I feel such comfort in my room, don't know if it's just because it's my room or because it really is? I have a big poster of "the creation of man" on my main wall. It's the picture of the two fingers touching. I also have this image on my business cards. Everyones rooms sound really nice. I would like to see some pictures, if possible.

Everyone has such creative ideas!  I can just imagine all the rooms and would love to get a treatment in any one of them.  As for me, I got to design my current room exactly how I wanted - which I love.  I started out thinking I wanted to go with a cool color for the walls since cool colors are soothing and calming. However, I decided that too much "cool" might depress me since I have to spend many hours on end in the room whereas my clients are only in there for an hour at a time. So, I went with a warm sand color and then accented with cool blue colors. Like Intuitouch I also wanted to do something for people in the supine position and have a swag of blue material that stretches across the ceiling in hanging swags and cascades to the floor on each end of the room. I get tons of compliments.  To round things out, my walls have beautiful nature photographs (my husband is a photographer) that also bring in those cool tones I wanted.  I just love being in my room!  ;D

What color is your treatment room?

I'm using half of a larger room for my treatment area. I got a couple of those Indian printed bedspreads (remember from the 70's, college dorm rooms etc.?). I use one as a room divider hanging from the ceiling, and a second as a wall cover. The room divider has a lot of oranges and greens, and the wall cover has blues and greens. The wall cover one has a large circular pattern in the center, which I aligned with the table. It kind of feels like a mandala. Otherwise, the walls are a peachy white with bright white trim. When the lights are down, it feels quite cozy and warm.

Hi Pete,  My current office is lavender, chosen for me. It's nice. Time for a change, though, I think. My future, by choice, office will probably be sand/golden/earth-tone walls with dark green doors and sills and dark green carpet.  Have you made a choice yet? I know I'm kind of weighing in late. Was indecisive myself.
