What could be the reasons for a headache following a deep tissue massage?

-interesting that you should ask this question because I have a throbbing headache myself which I am trying to understand why. I'm going to go drink some water......maybe I am dehydrated.

Regarding a connection, if you were lying in the prone position with your head face down, you may have developed a sinus headache if there has been any recent sinus drainage blockage. Other than this thought, perhaps pinching a nerve, but I think you would have experienced that as a sharp and sudden sensation.

the massage therapist should have told you to expect that, and told you to drink lots of water so that wouldn't happen. it's toxins releasing...
