What do you call yourself?

If you practice your therapies as a business, what do you call yourself i.e. Holistic Therapist, Complementary Therapist, Practitioner etc ???

I only practice one therapy at the moment.....but when i get more qualifications under my belt i think i will be referring to myself as a holistic therapist asthe word 'holistic'encompasses every part of wellbeing.

At work, I am called a practitioner - along with the chiro's and reflexologist. I call myself a Massage Therapist if asked, as it is my 'main' therapy,(I alsopractice Reiki and Hot Stone Therapy) however, now that IGPP has become Embody, and I am a member of the Complementary Therapists Association, I guess I am entitled to use the title Complementary Therapist.

I have a feeling ages ago we were not allowed to use that title - does anybody remember??!!

The Complementary Therapist Association is just one of many professional organisations, none having any more credibility than another. So if you are a complementary therapist, that is what you can call yourself, regardless of who you pay your money to asit's is a generic term.
