In my opinion, I think it's very unsafe and not a good idea. If you don't know the person, for all you know they could be some sort of creep or something! A few years ago one of my older sisters friend started talking to a man on MySpace I think it was. They both lived in Los Angeles and the man asked her if she wanted to meet him at a local Cafe or something. She agreed, and the man was a total creep and actually raped her, which is what happens when you do things like that.

I'm not saying it's not okay to talk to strangers on the internet, but I don't think it's safe to meet them if you don't know them... and don't give them too much personal information.

What are your opinions?

Also, this is partially for my friend. *Seriously*. She's been talking to a "girl" she THINKS she knows through mutual friends and she's telling me it's probably okay, but I'm telling her it's not such a great idea.
