her girlfriends? So this girl I like shows all the signs of being interested in me in return - body language, excited tone of voice when she picks up the phone, etc. She told me she wanted to "just be friends" and that she "sees me like a brother" (usually words of doom, I know).
However other things she's said make me wonder if she's in denial about liking me - she says she's worried about starting something before she goes away for the summer, and I think she might still be a little skittish after being hurt by her last boyfriend who broke up with her about 8 months ago, which makes me wonder if this isn't "defense mechanism" and if I continue to pursue her whether I might be able to get past that.
But tonight when I talked to her on the phone she says she wants me to meet one of her girlfriends, thinks we might hit it off. Is this a sign that she secretly likes me but hasn't admitted it to herself yet? Do I keep pursuing and see what happens, or do I move on? Do I meet this girlfriend she wants to set me up with when I'm not really interested in her friend, but her?
