What does open chat look like on WIzard101?

When an account has open chat, what do people who just have filtered chat see? The way I understand it is that if an open chat person says something that remains white when they type it, then filtered chat people can still see it, but if it is yellow, then it is not in the filtered chat dictionary, and only open chat people can read it. Does it just appear as . . . to filtered chat people? Also, I have seen things that say that menu chat people cannot see what filtered chat people are saying, but that is untrue. I have had menu chat people respond to filtered chat just fine. So, basically this is a two part question: Am I right about the open chat, and then can menu chat people read what filtered chat people say?
