What FREE MARKETING do you do?

I'm interested in compiling a list of free marketing ideas... my favorite so far is the fishbowl method, unfortunately I'm not having much luck in finding places to utilize the fishbowl method.
We also have a free local paper called The Weekly that has an "annoucements" and "business ads" section where you can advertise for free.
Does anyone else have any additional ideas? I'd love to hear them, and I'm sure I'm not the only one.

What kind of place to do you work in? Are you on your own? Are you approaching other places of business to put a fishbowl? If so, you might offer the people in charge a discount on your services and in return they allow you to put a fishbowl at their front counter.


I work in a wellness center (one side is medical and our side is a fitness center) we have several promotions going on right now to get our members to use their memberships regularly. They have a card that they get stamped every time they come in. Once they get so many stamps they can claim a reward. I think the second award is a free massage, even though it's free for them I still get my commission. This program is still somewhat new, so I'll soon have a surge in appts.
