Gentlemen! There has been a lot of talk as to what happens when you get caught at an "unlicensed place". Speaking first hand,since I had the pleasure of being caught at one. Let me tell you!
The cops never come in to the room! They knock on it and tell you that this is the police and to come out! Hopefully at that time you have dropped your load. They sit you down and ask you for identification at this time the cop runs you through dispatch to see if you have any charges or warrants pending. If not the cop
writes you an appearance letter to show up to court and a date and time is established right there on the spot. You are then allowed to leave on your own recognizance.
As for the long term efffects. If it's your first time caught in a place like that chances are the crown won't convict you but you will have to do community service. Or the worst case scenario is that it goes on your criminal record. Try explaining that to your wife and employer!
