what happens when Busted

I would like to know if anyone know what happens to the guy when a place gets busted.

do you go to Jail, do they let you go?

i am interested if it has ever happened to anyone?

They print your name in big bold letters on the front page of the Toronto Sun accompanied with the caption "Hello my name is (insert name here) and I'm a registered sex offender.

Good question, I have wondered that myself. I believe if you get caught on the streets, they make you go to 'john' school and your name becomes public record.

it all depends on the reason why the place was busted...if there are complaints of drug, prostitutution, kiddies etc... you run the risk of being charged. there is no offer of diversion ie. john school programs. the risks can be reduced by staying away from the dumps.

Isn't the charge usually "found in a bawdy house".

I believe if you fight the charge the Crown has to prove you had knowledge that the place is/was, according to law, a bawdy house.

Otherwise, if you are dumb enough to plead guilty, you will get a slap on the wrist and get an absolute discharge or most likely a conditional discharge.

As I recall from the Fantasia fiasco, being found in a bawdy house is a misdemeanor, and a fine. However, knowing what assholes vice cops generally are, they may try and get information from you, or threaten you with ither charges. Ultimately, I don't think it will amoun to a whole hill of beans.

However, if there are any legal types out here, or hobbyist po-lice, do share.

depending on the reason for the sting they can accuse you of a bunch of things. generally they will take some personal information. then give you a notice to appear in court to set a trial date. you are not charged at this point. when you appear before the crown (and you better appear or they issue a bench warrant). the crown presents you with disclosure - this is the evidence they have against you. you give this package to your legal counsel and prep for your defense. i believe this to be an accurate account of events. i use to date a lawyer.

basically the le look into the place not so much the clientele if the place is "clean " then intimidation is the rule . if minors work there or there is trade in narcotics or sexual services beyond the ol tug then you might wanna work on your " honestly sweetheart i thought it was just a massage i didn't know they touched people there ..." . your best bet is keep your attitude stowed and make with the " first time " , " curious " , " never again " , "i've learned my lesson " .
