What is it that I am seeing - a placenta??

Hi there all
Hope you are having a good day.
I need to ask you this......
Last night i had my client who istaking Menopur well not at the moment she is taking a break until the next course of injections.Butwhen i worked on her feet last night i spotted around her uterus on her left foot2 lines from the back ofher heelto about an inch long. What could this be? Her period is due in 1 week. She took Menopurat the end of April. She is due to take Menopur in 2 weeks time. Herovaries look a little swollenbut justa littleswollen not a great deal but they were swollen last week too! But last week i did not notice the little swelling around her uterus. It is odd I have never come across this before. Could shebe pregnant.
How hard was it to not smile when i saw it !! I did not want to say anything in case it was just because her period was due.
What do you think it could be?Or did I imagine it.

Hi Tracey

Good foot observation! Many therapists do observe visually or by touch changes in clients' feet, although of course we don't know what they might mean though we get hunches. I would say don't worry too much about interpreting what you feel, just enjoy exploring. I think you did well to keep it to yourself. I'm sure you've made a note of what you felt, and you can refer back to this to see if you were right. Have you got Susanne Enzer's Maternity Reflexology book? There's a section on observing 'pregnant feet' which is interesting.

I was treating a client of mine recently and thought 'oho'! to myself when I got to the reproductive reflexes. The uterus reflex felt a little puffy, that's all, but my intuition bashed me over the head all the same. She said how tired and klutzy she'd been and that also got me wondering. The next time she came she had some good news for me!

You are so positive with your posts! Thank you for your reply also on the Menopure post it made me feel more confident that I was doing something right! It is all about confidence I think and experience.
Yes I agree - I do not know how I kept it to myself but I guess you have too for fear of lifting their spirits too high unecessary and imagine if it was a negative Pg test? I would have felt awful and it would have been unprofessional too. Hopefully she can give me some good news next week or maybe her pd will be late this month !!
