It depends on who is doing the buying and who is selling. An interesting debate would be the HIGHEST and the LOWEST amount ever spent for a chica in the DR. Personally I saw a Gringo buy 6 bottles of Dom Perrignon to drink with the bartenders at $300/bottle. That's $1800 PLUS I'm sure a sizable propina and I'm sure the guy didn't get laid. (but he may have gotten married)

Highest paid=$100, and on more than one occasion. Lowest=$40 and was as satisfied as if I had paid $100. Oh, I did pay $70 for a Dominicana that ended up costing me zillions over the following 5 years.

I kind of wish that each of you guys had profiles like baseball cards. Example:

BangBang- Solid hitter with lifetime average of $40
MikeyStyles- Lifetime average of $60 but big picture taker and self promoter
BeachBumm- Promising rookie with an average of $80 going in...

I'm sure some of the tight CRT crew would put up some hysterical profiles for guys.

But to get back on point, I would say everyone is trying to get less than $100 and it totally depends on your negotiating skills. Knowing Spanish helps a lot.

A couple years ago I decided that, being a "pensionado pobrecito", I should keep track of my chica expenses.

So here's my chica card stats (all in colones without adjustments for inflation or exchange rate fluctuations):

With a lifetime average* of c25,651 per session.

Since the average non-MP session (probably 70% of the total) was 3-5 hours or more, I'm satisfied. But I'm setting a goal for '09 of returning to my '06 stats. 8) 8)

*(actually a lifetime average would have to go back to the 60's).

I have too few HDR encounters to calculate a statistically meaningful average.

However, based on a small sample:

Mean price: $68.00
Modal price: $80.00
Lowest: $40.00 for four hours
Median price: $95.00
Highest: $150.00 for 1.5 hours. :evil:

The quality of service does not appear to covary with price paid (i.e. the most expensive session was not the best, nor the cheapest session the worst).

I save 10% or more simply by choosing the girl from the Key Largo, regardless of whether she also trolls the del Rey or not. That 10% savings is calculated before figuring in the cost of buying her a few drinks and cervezas, BTW...so my actual savings from taking a KL girl may be closer to 5%.

It's not as much about price as chemistry. If you're well-groomed and smell good, if you have some Spanish, if you have an outgoing and fun personality without being obnoxious...you'll pay less than a drunken English-only lout with bad breath, B.O. and no Spanish.

And of course...

Your mileage will vary.

There are as many prices in the DR as there are girls. For me, the vast majority of DR girls are "not at any price". So, how do you quantify the right price for a girl you wouldn't do for free? :?

Let's talk about the top 10%, by whoever's scale. They are going to ask $100 for one hour, maybe more. But, in my opinion, if you don't feel some kind of connection with her then you probably should never get to the money. Does she like to party like you like to party? Once that is established and you are getting the right vibe from her, then you approach the money end.

Getting her off the dime ($100) is where your abilities make the difference. The variables are infinite so if the first girl won't budge, move on and don't burn the bridge; she may become more pliant as the night wears on. Show a sense of humor and promote a party atmosphere.

"Cheapest" and "most expensive" by the hour? By the pound? By the orgasm? Hotness factor (say "9") times the time (2 hours, say), times the orgasms (2) would give her a 36 on a $40,000c scale. What about performance?

I guess the bottom line is "Did you get what you were after?" and "Was it worth it to you?" I saw a guy the other day shortly after he paid two girls slightly more than twice what anybody should have. He was 18 and here for the first time. He went through $2100 in a couple of days. Nobody could tell him he didn't spend his money wisely. For him, he was right! :wink:

HDR price at 100, it's ok... BUT: make sure you get a one that doesn't worry about time. My Feb trip, I and two buddies decided to go top shelf at HDR... During my negotiations, I completely ignored instinct and when I got to the room, ignored my instincts.

Dealt for 2 hours (really worked hard to get her to say yes), 100. Got to the room, paid up front... Overtaken by the top-shelf appearence. At the 1-hour mark, zipped up and headed to the door.

Moral of the story: If they are worried about time at the negotiations, they're not worth the 100. Of course, YMMV... Plus you may not do the stupid pay-first thing either. Oh well, live and learn.

Just pay the 100 you are quoted and have fun. Its your first trip. A quick counter with 80 right now will be succesful in the majority of cases, if you want to save a few shekels. . That's it...don't overthink it. Later, if you become obsessed with "por rata" culture there is a library of info on this board to do your research. Have fun...
