What is the human body being tasered most similar to when electricity is introduced?

A school research project has me stuck and trying to find a chemical, or some type of substance but must be flexible, that when electricity is introduced it becomes hard but only for the time electricity is being applied. Much like when a person is being tased and the muscles contract causing the body to become very stiff but once electricity is taken away the body can move freely.
Also, much like an airbag except something that can be used many times instead of just once.

Electricity causes the body tension because extending and retracting muscles both engage simultaneously causing deadlock. You might be able to manufacture something like that. If you made a thick fabric or matting(or something) with lots of little electric lever arms(in opposing positions) built into it. When no electricity is applied all the lever arms move freely and can change shape freely. When electricity is applied the lever arms would all lock in place and the fabric's flexibility would go away.
