...best answer)? The chihuahua is about 2 years. We have had him since he was a puppy and we are bringing a pit bull puppy home tonight. The pit is a girl and the chihuahua is a boy. I was wondering how to get them used to each other before there is territorial problems. Any help is greatly appreciated.

if you maybe have somewhere were they can be in the same room but separated, perhaps a baby gate or glass doors, they can smell each other and from there you can tell if their going to get along or not, if their violent, you may have to keep them separated :/

keep them separate! a large breed pup should not play with a toy dog - its far too easy for the bumbling pup who is 3x the size of the toy to smush him with no malice just lack of understanding of the size difference

As long as you socialize the pit from a young age to your other dog, he will he okay. But like all puppies, he is going to want to play. I wouldnt keep the dogs together alone until you are comfortable.
