What are they trying to imply and what is the best answer to that?
Regarding your answer, chances for HE to be there or not?

If you're talking to a gold digger who's gonna ask you $80 for HE, better to answer yes.

AND if the vibe is good during the opening minutes, I tell them the names of a few places I have been to and how much I typically pay there. The whole point is to set the lady at ease about offering more and to let her know that I am aware of the going prices.

I find that often when you are asked if you've been there before and your reply is nope, the lady may ask where you previously visited. Great lead into the extras conversation.

Well, "They" say you should always say "Yes, I've been here before and had a wonderful massage!" for your best chances of happiness. Just a little research I've done... But I'm with BTK I tell the truth and add that I've been to other places.

Be factual, but add the fact that you frequently go for massages, if that is a fact too. I usually let them know that I am accustomed to a deeper massage. This way I avoid the totally crappy massages. Happiness is one dimension, but I appreciate the massage too. Call it the Happy Happy experience.

When I try YQ I say no never came here & she wanted $80 extra. I hate haggle so I just say no thanks & maybe not go back.
I usually tell the same like everyone here, the truth. Not really a issue for me.

I'm pretty green to all this. But I always tell the truth which is often no. If you read google reviews there's always that one pretentious d-bag that complains how the massage ended early and they didn't want extra's. So I think that they are just checking if you know what's up and you can behave yourself.
One thing I have noticed is just how much they remember you and what you tell them. I have seen a therapist only once. And the next time I see them a month or two later they can almost recall the entire conversation. So I like being honest from the start.

Not only do I say I had been there, I actually say I’ve been with that person. If/when they call me out I just have fun with it and pretend I’m hurt s she didn’t remember me.
Just having fun and keeping it loose. Breaks the ice.

If its an establishment I usually will reply with a yes I've been here before since its next to impossible for the attendant to know otherwise. I usually respond that I was quite happy last visit but haven't been there for some time. If they ask who I saw I just say can't remember her name.... With independents, I am upfront if I have seen them before. I assume they keep txt message conversations so the have a good chance of knowing if I'm new or not. I keep my txt's PG rated unless they are the ones that suggest extra's.
