What kind of hot towel cabinet, and where to GET it?

If you use a hot towel cabinet, what kind is it?

WE recently saw one that has adjustable temperature controls-- the therapist to whom it belonged said that if we were getting one to use for stones, to get one that has adjustable temp; otherwise, they get too hot. He keeps his at the 120-ish setting (I forget exactly). He also said to make sure it has a temperature readout so you KNOW how hot they are w/o having to open the door.

We're thinking of eventually having two or three: one in the treatment room for stones, one in the treatment room for actual towels, and one for the lobby for towels (we're thinking of some cold-weather short-services that one could do in the lobby while the other was doing table-treatments in the treatment room). I know they have those double-decker ones too, but I don't know if one would fit under our upper cabinets, and all the ones I've seen only have the UV in one section AND I haven't seen ANY that have adjustable temperature controls/readouts.

I've been googling my little heart out today, and not finding much. Any help would be appreciated!

The ones I have don't have temp controls, but I buy mine on ebay from LCL beauty. They are almost half the price of what massage warehouse sells them for. I bought three brand new in April and they are still working great. I bought one almost 5 years ago and we're still using that one as well. It might take a little longer to heat up by now and probably needs replacing.

I'm curious why you would choose a hot towel cabi over a skillet/crock pot/turkey roaster for hot stones? My therapists sometimes put a stone or two wrapped in hot towels in the cabi, but only for a special treat, never for an actual full hot stone treatment.

That's Dh's desire-- I think it has something to do with not wanting to have to dump, wash, and refill the stone keeper all the time.

yes, I got mine on ebay - LCL beauty. just keep looking for one with temp control. they work great for stones and no dripping! love mine even though I don't do regular hot stone massage. Occasionally I will pull out a stone or 2 and work with them when I want.

we use rice cookers for our hot towels, just leave it on the warm setting and forget about it, we've used them for 6 years with no problem.
