What kind of License/Paperwrk do I need to do chair massage

Just fresh out of massage school and exploring my options for chair massage. I will be working in San Diego and I am currently licensed and carry liability insurance. I am starting to look into setting up gigs with friends at street fairs and art shows. I am wondering what is truly needed to do this work with the public? Do I need to carry some sort of business license as well? Does it change per venue? Am I good with just my license and my insurance? Any help would be appreciated.

Licensing requirements vary widely. Would your school be able to give any advice?

From a quick search on line, it looks as though you either apply for a licence at a local (municipal) level or a state level.

Also makesure you can offer chair massage outside. Here in MA. there is a new law that you aren't so post to offer chair massages on a side walk, but I have yet to seen it inforced

I really don't know. You can be out side working under a tent, but for some reason not on a sidewalk

I think the license requirements should be the same for all types of massage you choose to practice in a state. I would definitely check with the local license requirements or even with a salon that offers chair massages to get an idea of what you will need in order to practice.
