What policies did the labour party introduce after 1997?

What were the policies (in simple terms) and who did they benefit??

Under Blair they turned the labour party into the new conservative party, the people who benefited were the rich and powerful (at the expense of the poor).

I believe they only had one policy after 1997


1. The Complete Economic and Social Destruction of Britian.



And I believe that is the only policy they have gotten close to fulfilling.

umm, too many to list here, but their policies included:

devolution and the creation of parliaments in Scotland and Wales

Power sharing in Northern Ireland, which created peace which benefitted everyone

Tuition fees on university, which helped people pay less taxes...

a minimum wage, which not only helped poor people but also led to a rise in employment

Wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, which certainly helped the defence industry through probably not all the people who died

Independence of the Central Bank/bank of England, so rational interest rates not determined for political points scoring

Low regulations on banking, made alot of bankers very rich and led to the credit crunch

and many, many more...
A mixed record really, some good policies and some bad ones
