what should i say to introduce myself to a girl on facebook?

ok so i added this girl on facebook i have never meet before because she looked cute and the type of girl i would like to meet and be friends with. so i added her and she accepted and i wrote on her wall thanks for accepting my friend request and how could i introduce myself to her should i private message her trying to start a casual conversation or does anyone have any ideas to help get me started talking to her?

just be really casual when talking to her.
just introduce yourself, tell her where you are from and add that u ' hoped she didnt mind u adding her.'
then just ask how she is or what she is up to.
then wait and see if she replys. if she dosnt then shes proberly not interested in making friends and leave her be.
if she dos reply then uv already started th conversation and take it from there. talk for a good few weeks/months befor asking if she want to meet and hang out. dont ask her too soon because obviously she dosnt know you. maybe after a while of talking ask her if shed like to hang out with a group of her friends and a group of yours.
