What species can I introduce to the swamp in the woods?

There is a swamp, just on the other side of the woods to where i live. It seems to have almost no life. Its about 30x 30x ft. It only seems to have vegitation growing on it.

I would like to introduce some life to it, but not sure what to choose. Also no idea what would survive there. The pond is full all year round because water drains into it from the forest.

Since I live in the UK i am not looking to introduce something as exotic as crocodiles. I am thinking frogs, but there is a lack of mosquitos on the swamp.

I need something that will survive and breed there.

The swamp is not poluted or anything. Just very dead.

It is illegal to release non-native species into the environment. It will only cause damage and problems in the long run.

Frogs and fish are always a good choice. Go to the pet store and get some. I am sure crocodiles could not survive the climate since the seasons change. The answers listed are your best choice.

There is obviously some reason there is no animal life there. You should find what is preventing animals from living there. If you build a place for animals to live, they will come. I don't know about in the UK, but where I live, introducing animals into the environment is illegal without a permit or government approval.

you don't say were in the U.K. you live so cant help you as to what to introduce to the swamp so what i recommend is you Google what lives in the swaps of your region then introduce those animals into the swaps ecosystem.
