What to do if massage client gets an erection?

I am a masseuse, and the other day the client who I was massaging got an erection. He had a light towel draped across his crotch area so the erection was very noticeable. The towel was not that large so the erection raised it enough that I could see his testicles. I wasn't sure what to do so I adjusted the towel as to best cover the "area". While making the adjustment I accidentally stroked his penis. I apologized and the whole situation seemed very awkward. Looking back on the situation I realized that I was massaging his feet so the erection was most likely caused by my outfit. (I didn't know it but when I looked in the mirror after my massage I realized that my leopard skin g-string had been showing out of my pants the whole time.) Did I handle the situation correctly or should I have "finished off" his erection because I clearly caused it.
