What's the best way to introduce cats to eachother?

Ok so recently my family has taken in a stray, we got her fixed but let her keep her claws since she's our indoor and outdoor cat, and she'll need them if she gets in a fight. My indoor cats that I had before are declawed, and we don't want them getting hurt but we don't want to keep our take in locked in another room. What's a good way to introduce them and get them to like eachother without a chance of them getting hurt?
 
Pet carrier. Put them next to eachother and hope for the best.

there is no way to do it unless they are both in a new environment
 
Bring them in new environments. That way they dont think they own the area. They could possibly get into a fight. They wont get injured. You can seperate them immediatly. You never can tell
