What's up at HLH these days

Not long ago ZB chatter dominated the MP section now they are but a blip on the radar. Was it part of the business plan along with the name change to focus on being more of a "hotel" than an MP, and stay off the CRT front page? Several recent reports describe the scene there as disappointing but we know the lineups at MPs go through cycles.

Good question. I have long been an advocate of the ZB experience, but recently, borrowing a thought from another CRTer, I've not been "feeling it" quite the same as in the past. I've observed several factors which account for my lessened enthusiasm. First, the girls say that Eddie has asked them to tone it down a bit (after the late summer brouhaha), which is unfortunate. I've always enjoyed the debaucherous atmosphere at ZB, exemplified by Pam and Laura, Naomi and Karen, and others, having a good time, showing their stuff, drinking tequila, forcing their tongues down your throat, etc. That atmosphere, by and large, was missing during my recent trips. Fewer girls hang out in the bar, adding to my perception that the quality, quantity and morale of the ladies has deteriorated. During my last trip, I went into HLH and had to wait some time before I found any 'doable' girl there. Adding to the problem is the lack of guys actually sessioning. This could be a result of the other issues I mentioned above, or perhaps in part because of the increase in session (or drink) costs. And although the new bar area looks nice, I think it has reduced the intimate feel the place once had. It is cold, sterile and uncomfortable, IMO.

So in summary, my perception is that the girls at HLH are not as hot as they used to be, and the place is not as much fun. Also, from what I hear, the managment is not as engaged as it was previously, and is not attempting to rectify these issues. Too bad, as the new rooms are really nice and the place has tremendous potential.

As an eternal optimist, however, I will keep going back. :wink:

With the bigger bar, the atmosphere can be rather tranquilo when it's slow, as it has frequently been lately. I can see how this can be off-putting to first-timers. And I'll second what Ciaociao said about Eddie and the girls, I guess he wants them wearing normal street clothes than "hooker wear"; Pamela told me that she couldn't wear those skimpy outfits that the she used to wear.

I'll keep going as well, since I do have more than one favorite there.

I was very pissed off when ZB ended it's association with CRT when the MPs were getting raided by the zoning people. We made that place. It was like a clubhouse for us old-timers.
I won't give them my business. If you bite the hand that feeds you, be prepared to be slapped.

When it was still the ZB they offered a special CRT rate on sessions and rooms. Now I believe it a discount on rooms and drinks.

In my october trip report i wrote about the girls and the place having a distant feel.In a pretrip reply i wrote that They had taken away the only discount that mattered to many crt members its nice to see that other members agree.While the priceing i bleieve is fair hlh is no longer a 3 stop/trip and 3+session place.It is a one stop one drink maybe one session place.If many customers feel like me they are losing a lot of money and good word of mouth. I use to highly reccomend zb/hlh to everyone i knew that is no longer true.Scubabum is dead on when he said crt helped make zb.I was going to costa rica and staying at the DR no matter what but this site turned me on to ZB/hlh.I sessioned at zb many times and know some of the girls real well...as many of us do and they are resourceful.I have to say that my last trip i had a better experience at new fantasy if they put in a bar zb would have to wake up and compete a little more.I will always have fond memories of my experiences at the old ZB and hope that the new hlhwill realize that something is not right(and i don't mean bring back the discount as it was minimal).I mean get back to what you know and do best and don't let greed take over.Is hlh a hotel,bar,MP,or a cigar bar.When it was an MP that sold cigars i believe it was a better more relaxing place that ctaered to all its customers not just hotel guests.

I'd be curious to know how the available labor pool has changed since hotel guests get a.) first crack at the available talent and b.) a discount off the "regular price."

I was concerned a year ago that hotel guests would monopolize the available ladies, and as prrof offered guys like QBF who seemed to have no compunction about taking a half-dozen of the best girls at a shot.

I like the bar ambience now. I was one of the mongers who thought ZB *needed* to tone down things a little bit, particularly the volume of the music. My biggest concern was and is, how many attractive massage therapists are available when I enter the place.

As far as biting the hand that feeds it, I think Scubabum is spot-on. Remember however, that one of the reasons that Eddie might have pulled back from that relationship is that CRT's home page was prominently featured in the Channel 7 - Teletica "expose'" of the MP scene. Sometimes believe it or not, bad press is not helpful.

Finally, the discount or lack thereof makes fairly little difference to me, as I visit HLH once per trip, maybe twice. I haven't sessioned there in two years. I understand that for the guys who nearly lived there a few years ago, the current status quo might be disappointing.

I would happily stay there if only they had a kitchen on premises. I'm one of those guys who would rather breakfast at my hotel before venturing out. If/when they get their restaurant shit together, I'll probably book a room.

One more thing: Eddie has always treated me very well, and I have had few gripes about the management.

There's definitely an attractive discount for hotel guests but I'd have to disagree on first crack at the talent. For some of the top girls such as the Holy Trinity of Karen and Pamelaura, they have regular daily appointments.

I tried in vain over several days to get with Karen only to find she had made appointments in advance through guys that had her phone number.

And Pamela has not 1 but 2 guys that show up the same time every day, one who buys her lunch as well. So you know that when you see her, the best you're getting is romp #3 on the day

Stephanie has also been known to be rather disinterested until she sees a regular customer. In fact, last trip i actually watched her sleep on the couch rather than mingle with available gents. When she awoke all she could do was complain about how slow it was......Doh!

If there's an advantage other than pricing afforded to hotel guests (which leads to 3-4 girls at a time), please let me know, because from my experience I could linger all day and still not get the girls I really wanted and as for hunting before Noon, that was a complete waste of time, IMO.

FWiW, when I sessioned with Gina she told me that I had a very good rep with the girls and those that hadn't been with me, wanted to. But they knew that until Karen, Laura and Stephanie were otherwise occupied, there was little chance I'd look elsewhere. I've never been with Pam and other than Laura trying to push the sister dupla on me, there's never been much chance of that happening.
