MONROE COUNTY PROSTITUTION ARRESTS
May 12, 2011

Five people face charges for helping to operate massage parlors that authorities say were a front for prostitution in Monroe County. Lih Kang Shen aka “Michael”, John Vincent Ferraro, Young Ja Youn aka “Mickey”, Yu Cheng Lee aka “Ricky” and Chin Hsia Chen aka “Judy” are named in a federal arrest complaint. All are charged with prostitution, conspiracy, and money laundering. An attorney for Lih Kang Shen told a newspaper that the two massage parlors were in Pocono Township and Marshalls Creek.

As a former inhabitant of the W-B/Scranton area I sometimes return to these old stomping grounds and would like to sample some of the cuisine NE PA has to offer. I have been disappointed however in the lack of reporting from the mongers of this area. All I have seen in these threads are a very few reports on Elite and 539. On a visit there this weekend I perused the Weekender and saw ads for many other establishments. Just some of the AMPS advertising were:

• Professional Asian Massage, Rt 309, 305 Church St, Hazelton

• Magical Asian Massage, 177 S. Market St, Nanticoke

• MoMo Spa, 242 N. Main, Pittston

• Oriental Body Works, 4215 Birney Ave., Moosic

There were others and also several non-asian places.

How about some intel mongers? It seems that all of the talk on this board is for the area around Allentown and south!

We would all appreciate some helpful comments.
