When most new trains are introduced to service do they usually come with

teething problems? If so why do they?
I don't usually use the 2009 stock on the Victoria Line but i heard they have some faults and i heard they aren't as reliable as the old 1967 stock. However i've also heard that the new trains would become more reliable over time.
What causes the train to become more reliable?
Ed Fox- i like the 2009 stock i was just trying to question why i have heard it's less reliable than the 1967 stock, it might be a more reliable than some websites have said cause the engineers are solving problems with it. I'm not trying to target the 2009 stock i said "When most new trains are introduced to service do they usually come with teething problems?" 2009 stock isn't the only new train. I know 1967 stock has left the Vic line.

This is almost always the case yes. Minor design problems, incompatability of the trains with existing signal systems and badly programmed on board computers are the usual problems.

The Victoria Line is now exclusively operated by 2009 stock and there have been no significant issues over the past month.
Are you one of these people who experiences or hears about one isolated problem and then for some reason like to imply it is a constant problem?

A train is designed on a drawing board, a prototype built and then trialled. On paper it will be fine. In actual service, the unforeseen stresses and strains will cause mechanical failure. Whatever component breaks down regularly will be redesigned for added strength. After a few years of this, you will have a reliable train.
