Where did the name Gramage originate from?

I find Gramage to be a fascinating name.I'm just curious where the name originates from? Does it have to do with your name being Graham and Gramage is what the ladies call you? is a nickname for a grandfather? were you a big fan of the go bot named gramage? Patiently awaiting your answer Gramsey =)

Well this story's gonna be a letdown. In high school I worked at a McDonalds, and one of the guys I worked with got sick of just callin me Graham, so he started trying to think of other things to call me, and after a few that didn't stick he thought up gramage, and from then on that s all he called me. And after a few weeks most the other people there were calling me gramage too. So when I got online and needed a user name for various sites gramage was the first thing to come to mind.

Now I have a question for Rusty, I noticed a similar writing style to our long departed Rouge Pubes.....are you twins? Rusty is the colour of Rouge, and a tromb often accompanies Pubes.....
