A lot has come out in the past week, from the new licensing by-laws, that now require us to show our driver's licenses, to all of the name calling, put downs, and litigation issues. You're right, it does kind of take the fun out of the hobby. If it's not fun, is it really worth it to do in the first place?

Maybe in a few weeks, things will calm down, and we can get back to reviewing MP's and MPA's the way we used to. If we have to adopt some new guidelines with posts, then so be it. But hell, many people have blown off a lot of hot air, and most of it had nothing to do with massageplanet.net reviews.

I'm looking forward to some more reviews.........

Well said Fuzzy. I was laying bed last night thinking many of the same things. I find it interesting that 2 of the best MP owners have been telling us this. I think that they have some legitimate concerns but at times I felt that they were forgetting us. Even the reasonable posters were being put on the defensive instead of having a discussion about resolution. Maybe success can do that to you.

I look at it this way - if I treat a MPA well then I doubt that she is turned off be the experience. It's like a server in a good restaurant. Their job is to look after you and the tip is a reflection of the sevice but they can also like looking after you. Anyone who has customers like some and dislike others (usually because of the way they treat you). They try to be pleasant to everyone but that's not always possible. Business is business.

The one thing to remember is that we, the clients, hold the ultimate power in all of this - we can withhold our patronage. You have chosen to do this. The good MPA's will follow the money. If any MP makes it uncomfortable for us for any reason and enough people go other Spa's they will lose their best staff to the busier places - assuming the new Spa treats them well. That is a simple truth that applies to any business.

Just have to remember that this hobby can be very addictive, that means you may not have as much power as you think, without even knowing it - the tobacco companies fully understood this and exploited it to the fullest.

What a downer. Thumper's post is like a really depressing movie; once into it, I need to see the ending even though I know it's going to make me feel like shit.

I'm trying my best to ignore you guys who have fallen for the illusion, but you're not making it easy with posts like this! Listen, it's real simple, and, it's been said before: there's a lot of competition out there in this market, and, as a result MP's and MPA's [in order to maintain repeat business] are going to do what it takes to "keep your business". Is that any different than any other business? Some of these girls are absolute pros in using the 30min. you share with them to find your weakness. This is not a bad thing! I like it when a girl finds my weakness, cause [I guess lucky in my case] it's all a physical thing. However, it would appear as if many of you have walked into an MP with an emotional hole that needs filling, and, perhaps there has been much miscommunication. Perhaps the MPA feels that you WANT that hole to be filled (even if it is for just 30min.) and servicing you not just physically but emotionally as well - maybe now I'm starting to understand all this talk about GFE and the big search for it...And, it's totally clear why I'm not into it!

Normally I would end it there, but there's more. Having said all of the above, I must admit that I'm getting sick of type of fun - unfortunately I've been exposed to the "real" side of what this business can do to a girl. Not sure why, perhaps just timing, but one particular girl felt like opening up to me (not my request, trust me) and it's heart wrenching. There's nothing I can do for her, there's nothing I would do for her - nonetheless I've got a bad taste in my mouth about this "game".

In another situation a friend of mine, who would never have gone to an MP unless I pushed him has [unbelievably] started what I guess you'd call a relationship with the girl I saw??? (He wouldn't go in when I did, but went back a few weeks later). Totally straight guy who could literally have any girl he wants has developed feelings for this MPA. So...I wonder, maybe I'm wrong? Do some of these girls go to far with the mind-fuck deal? Cause this guy is a heartbreaker - I've been there to clean up some of the messes from girls he left behind when we lived in the same city. But, in this cause I went in, got my rocks-off and buddy goes back for a date? Of course my biggest dilemma at this point is; do I still go and see this girl (she's alright, just don't like the idea of crossing anyone of my list)?? Or, does that cross-the-line between good friends? WHAT IS GOING ON?!?!??!?!

I think it's time for a break...It's getting way too serious to be considered fun...

I too got really down thinking that I was a "dirty man" who treated innocent girls like barn yard animals (whatever that means). I started to question if the innocent girls viewed each one of us as the enemy. But then I said WTF. In my world things are the way I believe them to be!



And I let my sweet kid blossom ... even if the innocent girl loathes me. I am nice to her, I pay her well and so at least I am not as bad as the badest ones of the lot. Maybe it wasn't as extreme a torture for her to be making $200/hr as it is for some. Ahhh the sweet smell of "game" blossoms in bloom.

Cheer up bunny ... get back to thumping or humping ... create your own world, because ... what is real and what is not? Will it all matter tomorrow or in a 100 years?

Roadrunner - I absolutely agree with you on the addictive nature of this hobby and I have no intention of giving it up. I was a little unclear in my last paragraph. Let me try again:

Fuzzy is witholding his patronage - period. I was trying to point out that we (collectively) can redirect our patronage away from one MP to another MP - a very powerful tool. If enough people do that the MPA's will follow the money (us). This is simple economics. It is the very real power we have against out interests being abused.

I don't suggest that we have a reason to proceed at this point but the things that Fuzzy pointed out plus the threat to sue massageplanet.net leaves me disappointed with a couple of the MP owners. We do have alternatives.

I feel so bad for all the poor MPAs, especiallay when they are not making very much money. And they have to work all those long hours too. But not me I just go to my job and put in my 60 to 75 hours a week and go spend an hour with them and leave 15% of my check with them. Hey I feel so bad for them maybe I should just hand over my entire pay check to them and hang my head in shame for just making them feel so awful for the way I have mistreated them. (You know like saying Hi to them, having a pleasent conversation with them, showering before and after etc, etc).

Wake up and give your rabbit ears a shake thumper! If the MPAs feel so used and abused then they can go get a real job and see what its like to work like normal people do and see what its like to look at your paystub and see all the taxes the government takes. No one has a gun pointed at a mpas head (Sorry the majorty of mpas dont have a gun to there head, some do.). They are doing this for the simple reason that its easy money. I know some of them work hard and earn what they get, but give me a break if you can make $100 an hour cash min. for what they do then all the power to them. Just dont come whining to me or the rest of your clients when you start to realize what you do makes you feel used! Go work fast food and earn $9 an hour and see how you feel, or do construction for $25 and bust your ass in the cold, rain, heat etc. In the end you decide what you want to do, not me, not thumper or anyone else JUST YOU AND YOU ALONE!

ok I'm not much of a long winded guy so I'm gonna keep this as short and simple as possible.....

Guys, idealistically we should only be going to these places just for a little bit of fun. Well thats why I would go.

I walk in there, unload my clip and walk out....simple. I'm not saying that you gotta walk in there with an attitude or treat anybody poorly. Just be yourself, treat 'em nicely and with the same basic respect you would give anybody else....do your biz and walk out feeling "relieved".
Don't get caught up looking too far into things. Yeah yeah they got their problems, and you got yours; Welcome to life...its a helluva ride. Just be polite and couteous.....whats so wrong about that??

Don't go to these places looking for an ego boost, affection a bosom buddy or anything ridiculous like that.....you fall into that mess and you'll end up fooling yourself....

I was trying to think of a way of summing up how I feel on this and it seems Monkeylove has pretty much done it.

Nothing that has come out of recent threads is really any revelation. I've heard this biz being referred to as a "game" before. In essence it is, but then again so is life.

I'll continue to see MPA's as individuals just as I would any person. The thing is to try and keep things in balance and stay aware that it is a "business transaction" and it's their job to fulfil your so called, fantasy, but at the same time it is between two humans, with human traits. If this balance leans too strongly in either direction that's when things get messy and people lose perspective. I do lean in the direction of the human side, because thats the way my mind works. If I were to lean more toward it being a business transaction it would ruin the fun of it all and most likely reflect on my experiences ...

I don't for a second believe all MPA's outlook can be painted with the same wide brush. I've had bad experiences with MPA's over the years, but I tend to remember that MPA's are human ( therefor fallible and unique in their actions & emotions) and in a job that cannot be compared to any other business. What other job do people give such a large part of themselves, both physically and mentally on such an emotional and intimate level. I just look at those sessions as an experience and try to understand and gain insight ...

Am I still on topic ? I only meant to agree with Monkeylove's statement ...

Couldn't agree more. So the sex workers talk shit about us eh Paul/IT?? No doubt. Having dated a dancer for quite a while, I have experienced it first hand listening to her and several co workers bitching about their customers day and night I laughed the whole time. Without us customers the mpa's wouldn't have these lucrative jobs. Gee, all that tax free money...are they being forced? They can say what they want. I treat them with respect, and once I walk out the doors, the experience is left behind. Rip away girls, I could care less. Keep biting the hand that feeds you.

As for the recent Kayla posts on Tarah, ...occupatioonal hazard. It's part of the business or "game" as you put it to expect some rude customers/posters. This is a review board right??? So positive and negative things get said right??? Most of the stuff on Tarah is high praise and always has been. Of course there will be negatives. If a girl is crying at night or feeling "used" as you put it Kayla, THEN SHE IS IN THE WRONG BUSINESS!

Tarah is very well compensated for what she does (probably mostly tax free with bogus declarations), and should expect the good with the bad in the business. If she comes on the board and goes home crying then she shouldn't go reading on the board! Simple solution!! As you put it Kayla" if ya can't take the heat get outta the kitchen." Why are people defending her as if she is a 10 year old child incapable of managing herself? Is she forced to work at HFH? How about the people that have had crappy experiences with her lately who dumped half their paycheck just to see her?

I could go to a KKK meeting and get blasted all day long, but I don't. Hint...hint...stay off the boards Tarah. Why stop at mpa's? How about politicians, they get blasted day and night. Let's go over to their houses , give them a hug and tell them it's all ok.
