Where to buy gift certificates

I'm wondering if someone can give me some ideas where to buy some nice but not too expensive gift certificates to sell for the holidays?

It seem that many make their own GC using editing software. (me included)

However there are several places you can find them such as massage warehouse, scripts, etc. Anywhere that sells massage supplies.

Don't forget to make sure your GC meet federal regulations for expirations. Here's a link to a site that provides all the info you'll need. It has a short explination by state, then more details towards the bottom.

These previous posts/links are all a great help. Thanks so much...looks like I might try to make my own. I've never used Publisher or a program like it but there is no time like the present to give it a shot!

I purchase my gift certificates from Information for People

I like them over the rest that I have purchased because they come with a slip you fill out for yourself. You keep that slip so it is easy to keep track of what GC's you have sold/redeemed/outstanding.
They also have a good variety.

I finally got a photo printer a couple of months ago (handles normal paper and 4x6 photo paper and everything in between). I've found certificates printed on the heaviest 4x6 that you can print on both sides look pretty impressive

I just use Microsoft Word to do the layout. Publisher etc give you more templates, to start with, but Word has a few, and you probably know what you want on there anyway. I print out the certificates as required with the From/To and service filled out on the computer, but you could print them out with blank from/to and what in advanced and then fill them in by hand - whatever works in your setup.

Most gift certificates I sell have been over the internet and I just email them the certificate for them to print out. I used to send them as PDF files that couldn't be altered, but I got so many "can we change the wording on the message?" "can I have a picture I have on it?" I just send out the Microsoft Word doc, tell them they can change message/font/colour but leave the "gift certificate" bit with the logo alone, and ask them to send the final version back, so I know what was handed over. Most of those just want the A4 format.
