Which Strip Club would You Choose?

Tonight may not be the best of nights since Festival of Lights is happening but maybe I'm wrong. If you wanted to go to a relatively safe strip club where you can actually enjoy watching naked girls dance for a few hours and relax by having a few drinks and in the process maybe score a gig with one of the girls when you're done which club would you pick....Grillion...Pantera Rosa...Pirates or another that I'm not aware of of? I remember about a year ago I went to Pantera and it was so totally packed (I think mostly Tico's) I couldn't even find a spot to sit...is it still that way now? Thoughts appreciated. Thx.

Pirate's has the best facilities. It isn't really a strip club though. My current favorite is Las Margaritas, south of Clinica Biblica. Nice girls and affordable (girl drinks excluded). Pantera Rosa is too loud for my tastes and the girls and waiters are too aggressive for my tastes. Not a relaxing place, in my opinion. Grillion is ok if it's not too packed, like you say. Alcasar and Bar Monaco are also options. Alcazar is reasonable except for onsite sex. Bar Monaco is reasonable but the area scares some people (not me). Hope you have fun.

I was just at Scarlett's Nightclub close to The Mall San Pedro. Lots of good looking dancers. It's Gringo friendly at tico prices. Safe, clean and no pressure. Cover charge 5,000 colones and that gets you 4 drinks. The reason that te taxi drivers don't want to take you there is because Scarlett's does not bribe the taxis drivers to take you there like the other nightclubs do.

Not sure Scarletts still in business. Seem to remember the last time I passed by there was something else located there.

Scarletts appeared to be open about 2 weeks ago; I drove by around midnite on a weeknight. Scarletts is located on the circunvalacion, west side of the highway, about 300 - 500 metres south of San Pedro Mall in a "strip center" (no pun intended!). I imagine this would be a 2,000 - 3,000 mil colone taxi ride from the Gulch.

Not based upon the newist 411, but for my money I always found Le Grillon to be the most solid choice for hotties that are reasonsbly priced and avaliable for off site fun, a hot show, and not a bank buster for drinks and such..no high pressure, just high level fun

Scarletts is open. I was there last night for a short time. It's still 5000c entry but you get 4 drinks for the cover charge. It was Sunday night and the place was slow and it was full of heifers.

Unless things have changed (which is possible as management changes frequently), scarletts is just another clip joint, similar to tengo india, elites, atlantis etc.

Perhaps it does have new management, i know it was closed for a time, but if going there I would proceed with caution.

Keep in mind when going to strip clubs, december (especially mid december) is probably the worst time of year to go to tico places, as the 13th month salary, the aguinaldo, has just been paid to all costa ricans, and of course they are riding high on the hog and spending that money. They will typically be much busier than normal.

January on the other hand is the best month to go to a strip club in costa rica, as no one in costa rica has spending money during that time. You can find great deals from both the clubs and the girls during that time.

If you want a chill place, I would recommend Texas, it is a little more expensive than pantera rosa, but it has higher end facilities. But it is not a clip joint like hollywood, tengo indias etc. Drinks for the girls are about 3-4.5k colones each, and i believe sex in the normal rooms at the back (girl willing) is about 20k to the house, and 20-25k or so to the girl. It has been a while since i've been there, so prices are just guesstimates.

Where is Texas located? A street address would be great. Are these considered bars or what? If I'm taking a cab there, what would I say?
